Next week, on April 11, GRI Club Infra and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote opportunities, cooperation, and the generation of new business in the infrastructure industry between Latin America and China.

“The document is a recognition of the relevance of the relationships between the parties and aims to encourage the promotion of cooperation, trade, and investments between Latin America and China. This action is part of GRI Club’s efforts to build bridges between Chinese and Latin American players operating in the industry,” said Pedro Nicolau, global head of the GRI Club for the Infrastructure sector.

Next Tuesday (April 9), Nicolau leaves for Beijing, where he will attend the signing ceremony of the MOU with CCPIT director general, Junfeng Lou.

The document sets out that the two organizations are committed to building a platform for business consulting, dialog and coordination mechanisms aiming to deepen relationships geared to the business environment between the two nations.

Among other things, the MOU also aims to boost the engagement of infrastructure companies and public entities in joint activities such as conferences, meetings and events. The instrument will go into effect as soon as it is signed by the parties and will be valid for a year.
