Infra India GRI gathers International investors ready to capitalize on the growth in the infrastructure sector.

All eyes on India’s Infrastructure sector as it stands as the key driver of the Indian economy. The Indian government estimates a requirement of investment worth Rs 50 trillion (US$ 777.73 billion) in infrastructure by 2022, hence the importance of utilizing its potential is steadily growing. Backed by a government with such ambitious investment expectation some say global investors are standing on the doorstep to enter India stick around for the long haul.

Is global investment in Indian infrastructure a feasible idea?
 
According to India Brand Equity Foundation, Indian infrastructure witnessed a record breaking 91 M&A deals in the sector in Q1 in 2017, many of whom are private equity companies looking for prosperous opportunities. With around 4% growth then reported in 8 of the core Infrastructure industries, showcase the probable potential of the market. From a regulation perspective India is becoming less challenging especially with the losen of regulation in the roads sector and the government determined to increase the number of PPPs over the coming years, hence opening up opportunities for global investment.

India Infra GRI 2018 conference will gather c-level Infrastructure investors, developers, operators, government and financiers active in India for a series of collegial discussions to understand where the market is going to identify like minded peers in order to build relationships and business deals. GRI Club Infrastructure Background

India Infra GRI 2018 is an annual conference hosted by the GRI Club Infra’s India chapter and it take place on 29-30 November in Mumbai. GRI Club Infrastructure has been running since 2016 and quickly grew to become a driving force for those investing in emerging infrastructure markets exclusively available for investors, developers, operators and lenders in the infra sector.

The GRI platform has established itself in Latin America and Asia and is running annual events in USA, Brazil, China, Peru, India and Mexico along with club meetings across the region as a whole.
